Product Detail

The Airmar B285C High Wide 1Kw CHIRP Bronze Thru Hull comes with a Raymarine 11-Pin Mix-N-Match Cable. Model: B285C-HW-11R. This transducer offers depth and temperature detection. It has a bronze housing and uses exclusive Xducer ID® technology. With Airmar's wide beam Chirp product line, you'll get more coverage under the boat. It has a high frequency range of 150 - 250 kHz and a constant 25° beamwidth, providing truly broadband performance. It improves the performance of Chirp-ready echosounders. Anglers using this single band, wide beam transducer will get twice the coverage under the boat compared to current high frequency Chirp transducers. The high frequency transducers have a constant 25° beamwidth across the entire frequency band. It offers vast bottom coverage, precise fish detection in the upper water column, and creates crisper and larger return images on the display. Specifications: CHIRP Frequency 150 - 250kHz, Beam width constant 25°, Maximum depth 500'. What's in the box: B285C, High Speed Fairing Block, MMC-11R-HM.

Using the Airmar B285C-HW is quite straightforward. First, make sure to install it properly on your boat following the included instructions. When using it, turn on your compatible echosounder system. The transducer will then start detecting depth and temperature for you. For best results, ensure that the transducer is in good contact with the water. As for maintenance, regularly check the bronze housing for any signs of damage or corrosion. If you notice any issues, it's best to address them right away. Also, keep the cable in good condition and avoid any sharp bends or cuts. When not in use, store it in a dry place to prevent any water damage. And always refer to the user manual for more detailed information and safety guidelines.
