Product Detail

Airmar B175 Chirp Medium Frequency transducer with a 12d tilted element comes with a Raymarine 11-Pin Mix-N-Match Cable. Model: B175C-12-M-11R. It's a depth and fast - response water - temperature sensor. Operating in the medium frequency range from 85 kHz to 135 kHz, it offers a 24° to 16° beamwidth and a total bandwidth of 50 kHz from a single transducer. It covers popular fishing frequencies like 88 and 107 kHz. Ideal for fiberglass or wood hull boats of 8 m (25’) and above. Airmar's new broadband transducers are a game - changer for fishing. Whether you're a commercial fisherman, charter captain, or tournament angler, these chirp transducers can detect the bottom down to 3,000m (10,000’) with 5 to 10 times greater detail. You can easily distinguish between baitfish, game fish, and underwater structures. One installation saves you time and money. An additional cable is required: A80328 for single transducer use and A102146 for transducer pair use. Specifications include a deadrise of 8° to 15°, a urethane acoustic window, a 1 kW power rating at 1% duty cycle, and an operating frequency of 85 - 135 kHz. The box includes B175C - 12 - MM and MMC - 11R - HM.

Using this Airmar transducer is straightforward. First, make sure your boat is of the right size (8 m or above) and has a fiberglass or wood hull. Check the deadrise of your boat, which should be between 8° and 15°. Then, install the transducer on your boat. Remember to connect the appropriate cable - use A80328 if you're using it as a single transducer and A102146 if you're using it in a pair. Once installed, power it on and it will start providing depth and water - temperature information. When using it for fishing, you can take advantage of its ability to detect the bottom up to 3,000m with great detail. Be careful not to exceed the 1 kW power rating at 1% duty cycle. For maintenance, keep the acoustic window (made of urethane) clean. Avoid hitting the transducer against hard objects as it may damage the internal components. Regularly check the cable connections to ensure they are secure.
