Product Detail

The Airmar B175 is a wide-beam chirp high-frequency transducer with a 12d tilted element and comes with a Raymarine 11-Pin Mix-N-Match cable. Model: B175C-12-HW-11R. It's a depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor. With high CHIRPS from 150 kHz to 250 kHz, a 25° constant beamwidth, and 100 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer, it covers the popular 200 kHz fishing frequency and more. Ideal for fiberglass or wood hulls on boats 8 m (25') and above. Airmar's new wide beam Chirp product line offers more coverage under the boat. It's truly broadband, improving the performance of Chirp-ready echosounders. Anglers get twice the coverage compared to current high-frequency Chirp transducers. The constant 25° beam width across the frequency band provides vast bottom coverage, precise fish detection in the upper water column, and crisper, larger return images on the display. Additional cables are required: A80328 for single use or A102146 for paired use. Specifications: Deadrise 8° to 15°, Acoustic Window Urethane, Power rating 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle, Frequency 150 to 250 kHz - A (Broadband).

Using this Airmar transducer is straightforward. First, make sure your boat meets the requirements - it should be 8 meters or longer with a fiberglass or wood hull and a deadrise between 8° and 15°. Connect the Raymarine 11 - Pin Mix - N - Match cable properly. If you're using it as a single unit, get the A80328 cable; for paired use, you'll need the A102146 cable. When you're out on the water, the transducer will quickly give you depth and water - temperature readings. It's great for fishing as it can cover a wide area under the boat and detect fish even in the upper water column. As for maintenance, keep the acoustic window (made of urethane) clean. Avoid hitting it against hard objects. Also, check the cables regularly for any signs of wear and tear. That way, your transducer will keep working well for a long time.
