Product Detail

The Airmar B175 is a wide - beam CHIRP high - frequency transducer with a 0° tilted element and comes with a Garmin 8 - Pin Mix - N - Match cable. Model: B175C - 0 - HW - 8G. It's a depth and fast - response water - temperature sensor. With high - CHIRP from 150 kHz to 250 kHz, it offers a 25° constant beamwidth and 100 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. It covers the popular fishing frequency of 200 kHz and the whole bandwidth. Ideal for fiberglass or wood hulls on boats 8 m (25’) and above. Airmar's new wide - beam Chirp product line gives more coverage under the boat. Compared to current high - frequency Chirp transducers, anglers get twice the coverage. The constant 25° beam width across the frequency band provides vast bottom coverage, precise fish detection in the upper water column, and creates crisper, larger return images on the display. Specifications: Deadrise 0° to 7°, Acoustic Window Urethane, Power rating 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle, Frequency 150 to 250 kHz - A (Broadband). In the box: B175C - 0 - HW - MM Transducer and MMC - 8G Mix and Match Cable.

Using the Airmar B175 transducer is quite straightforward. First, make sure your boat is 8 meters or longer and has a fiberglass or wood hull. Connect the Garmin 8 - Pin Mix - N - Match cable to the transducer and then to your compatible device. Once connected, power on your equipment. You'll start getting depth and water - temperature readings right away. When it comes to fishing, this transducer's wide beam and high - frequency range are great for detecting fish, especially in the upper water column. As for maintenance, keep the acoustic window (made of urethane) clean. You can gently wipe it with a soft cloth after each use. Avoid using abrasive materials as they can damage the transducer. Also, store it in a dry place when not in use. If you notice any issues with the readings or the cable, check the connections first. If problems persist, it's best to contact Airmar's customer service.
