Product Detail

The Airmar B175 is a wide-beam chirp high-frequency transducer with a 12d tilted element and a Humminbird 9-pin mix-n-match cable. Model B175C-12-HW-HB. It's a depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor. It has high CHIRPS from 150 kHz to 250 kHz, a 25° constant beamwidth, and 100 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. It covers the popular 200 kHz fishing frequency and everything else in the bandwidth. Suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls on boats 8 m (25') and above. Airmar's new wide-beam Chirp product line offers more coverage under the boat. With a high frequency range of 150 - 250 kHz and a constant 25° beam width, these transducers are broadband at their best. They improve the performance of Chirp-ready echosounders and give anglers twice the coverage compared to current high-frequency Chirp transducers. The beam width is a constant 25° across the entire frequency band, providing vast bottom coverage, precise fish detection in the upper water column, and crisper, larger return images on the display. Specifications: Deadrise 8° to 15°, Acoustic Window Urethane, Power rating 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle, Frequency 150 to 250 kHz - A (Broadband).

Using this Airmar transducer is quite straightforward. First, make sure it's properly connected to your Humminbird device with the 9 - pin cable. For installation, it's designed for fiberglass or wood hulls on boats 8 m (25') and above. When using, you'll get great depth and water - temperature readings. Remember, it works best with a deadrise between 8° and 15°. As for maintenance, keep the acoustic window (made of urethane) clean. You can gently wipe it with a soft cloth. Also, check the power rating of 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle to avoid overloading. This transducer operates in a frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz, so make sure your echosounder is set to work within this range for the best results.
