Product Detail

The Airmar B175C-20-H is a high-performance CHIRP high-frequency transducer with a Garmin 8-Pin Mix-N-Match cable. Model B175C-20-H-8G. It's a depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor. It CHIRPS from 150 kHz to 210 kHz, offering 80 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. Ideal for boats 8 m (25') and above. It covers the popular 200 kHz fishing frequency. Suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls. The ceramic elements are permanently tilted inside the housing to compensate for hull deadrise, aiming the beam straight down for maximum echo returns and no need for a fairing. Flush/tilted transducers mount through a hole in any fiberglass, metal or wooden hull. High frequency means greater detail, sensitive to small targets, and great for shallower water and anglers fishing less than 1500 feet. Specifications: Deadrise 16 - 25°, Acoustic Window Urethane, Power rating 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle, Frequency 130 to 210 kHz - A (Broadband), Beam 10° to 6° beam, Max Depth 1000ft. In the box: B175C-20-H-MM Transducer and MMC-8G Mix-N-Match Cable.

Using the Airmar B175C-20-H transducer is quite straightforward. First, find a suitable spot on your boat's hull, which should be fiberglass or wood, and drill a hole for the transducer to mount through. Make sure the outside of the fitting sits flush against the exterior hull surface. Connect the Garmin 8 - Pin Mix - N - Match cable to the transducer and your echosounder. When you're out on the water, this transducer will give you accurate depth and fast - response water - temperature readings. It's great for shallower waters and fishing at depths less than 1500 feet. As for maintenance, keep the transducer clean. After each use, rinse it with fresh water to remove any salt, dirt, or debris. Check the cable regularly for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, it's best to have it inspected by a professional. Also, be aware of the deadrise angle of your boat, which should be between 16 - 25° for this transducer to work optimally.
