Product Detail

The Airmar SS175C-20-H 20 Degree Tilt is a high CHIRP transducer with a Garmin 12-pin connection. It's a depth and fast - response water - temperature sensor. With 1 kW power, it can reach a maximum depth of 304 m (1000'). The high frequency ranges from 130 kHz to 210 kHz with a 10° to 6° beamwidth, and offers 80 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. This high frequency ensures great shallow water performance, clear bottom details, and good fish target separation. Recommended for boats up to 11 m (36'), its stainless - steel housing suits all hull types and materials. There's also a bronze housing (B175H) model. It features exclusive Xducer ID® technology. Airmar’s low - profile Chirp - ready transducers are ideal for smaller boats like center consoles. The low - frequency band excels in deep water. The SS175L provides up to 20 kHz of total bandwidth in one installation for excellent deep - water performance. Tilted element transducers have a ceramic element fixed at 20°, 12°, or 0° angles. Installed almost flush to the hull, the tilted element corrects for hull deadrise, ensuring maximum echo returns and accurate depth readings. Specifications: Weight is 2.7 kg (6 lb), hull deadrise up to 24°, acoustic window is urethane, hole size is 98 mm (3 - 7/8'), and it has one internal ceramic assembly.

Using the Airmar SS175C - 20 - H is easy. First, make sure to choose the right angle for the tilted element according to your hull deadrise. Install the transducer almost flush to the hull so that the beam points directly down. Connect it to your Garmin device using the 12 - pin connection. When using, you'll get quick depth and water - temperature readings. For boats up to 11 m (36'), this transducer will work great. Just remember, the hull deadrise should be up to 24°. As for maintenance, keep the acoustic window (made of urethane) clean. Avoid hitting the transducer against hard objects as it has a ceramic assembly inside. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a dry place. And if you want a different look or material, there's also a bronze housing option available.
