Product Detail

The Airmar B175C-20-H is a high-frequency CHIRP transducer with a 20d tilted element and a bare wire Mix-N-Match cable. Model: B175C-20-H-0. It serves as a depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor. With high CHIRP from 150 kHz to 210 kHz, it offers 80 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. Ideal for boats 8 m (25’) and above, it covers the popular fishing frequency of 200 kHz and other frequencies in the bandwidth. Suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls, its ceramic elements are permanently tilted inside the housing to compensate for hull deadrise. This ensures the beam is aimed straight down, maximizing echo returns and eliminating the need for a fairing. Flush/tilted transducers can be mounted through a hole in fiberglass, metal, or wooden hulls. High frequency provides greater detail, making it sensitive to small targets and displaying high-resolution images on the echosounder screen. Best for shallower water and anglers fishing at depths less than 1500 feet. Specifications include a deadrise of 16 - 25°, an acoustic window of urethane, a power rating of 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle, a frequency of 130 to 210 kHz - A (Broadband), a 10° to 6° beam, and a max depth of 1000ft. The box includes a B175C-20-H-MM transducer and an MMC-0 Mix-N-Match cable.

Using the Airmar B175C-20-H transducer is quite straightforward. First, make sure your boat is at least 8 meters long and has a fiberglass or wood hull. Drill a hole in the hull according to the instructions and mount the transducer so that the outside of the fitting is flush against the exterior hull surface. Connect the Mix-N-Match cable to your sonar device. When using, it works best in shallower waters less than 1500 feet deep. You'll get detailed information on small targets due to its high frequency. As for maintenance, keep the transducer clean. After each use, rinse it with fresh water to remove any salt or debris. Avoid hitting it against hard objects as it can damage the ceramic elements. Check the cable regularly for any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any issues, consult a professional for repair or replacement.
