Product Detail

The Airmar B175 Chirp Medium Frequency 12d Tilted Element comes with a Garmin 8-Pin Mix-N-Match Cable. Model: B175C-12-M-8G. It's a depth and fast - response water - temperature sensor. It uses CHIRP technology from 85 kHz to 135 kHz, with a 24° to 16° beamwidth. One transducer offers 50 kHz of total bandwidth, covering popular fishing frequencies like 88 and 107 kHz. Ideal for fiberglass or wood hulls on boats 8 m (25’) and above. Airmar's new broadband transducers are a game - changer for fishing. Whether you're a commercial fisherman, charter captain, or tournament angler, these Chirp transducers can detect the bottom down to 3,000m (10,000’) with 5 to 10 times more detail. You can easily tell apart baitfish, game fish, and underwater structures. One installation saves you time and money. Specifications: Deadrise is 8° to 15°, acoustic window is urethane, power rating is 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle, and frequency is 85 - 135 kHz. In the box: B175C-12-MM and MMC-8G.

Using this Airmar transducer is quite straightforward. First, make sure your boat is 8 meters or longer and has a fiberglass or wood hull. Check that the deadrise of your boat is between 8° and 15°. Then, install the transducer with the included Garmin 8 - Pin Mix - N - Match Cable as per the instructions. Once installed, you can start using it to get depth and water - temperature readings. When fishing, you'll be able to clearly see different types of fish and underwater structures thanks to the high - resolution CHIRP technology. As for maintenance, keep the acoustic window (which is made of urethane) clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe it regularly. Avoid using abrasive materials that could damage the transducer. Also, check the cable for any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any issues, it's best to get it checked or replaced. And remember, the power rating is 1 kW at 1% duty cycle, so don't exceed this limit to prevent damage to the transducer.
