Product Detail

The Blue Sea Systems SI-ACR Automatic Charging Relay, model 7610-BSS, is a top - notch solution for 12 or 24 volt systems. It has a 12/24 volt auto - ranging voltage input. During engine cranking, it protects sensitive electronics by temporarily isolating house loads from the engine circuit. Its hermetically sealed contacts are vaporproof, and it's ignition - protected, making it safe for gasoline - powered boats. It can support high - output alternators up to 120 Amperes and features dual sensing. This relay automatically combines batteries when charging and isolates them when discharging or starting the engine. The Dual Circuit Plus™ Battery Switch simplifies battery switching while providing isolation. In case of a low engine battery, the Combine function can parallel the batteries. Specifications include a nominal voltage of 12V or 24V DC, start isolation, an amperage operating current of 175mA (combined) or 15mA (open), and more.

Using the Blue Sea SI - ACR Automatic Charging Relay is easy. First, make sure your system is either 12V or 24V DC as this relay is designed for these voltages. Connect it according to the wiring diagram provided. When the charging process starts, the relay will automatically combine the batteries. When discharging or starting the engine, it will isolate the batteries. For the Dual Circuit Plus™ Battery Switch, you can easily switch two batteries to OFF or ON. If your engine battery is low, use the Combine function to parallel the batteries. When it comes to maintenance, check the terminal studs regularly. Ensure they are tightened to the recommended torque of 140 in - lb (15.82 Nm). Also, keep an eye on the cable size, which should be 1/0 AWG to meet the ratings. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, replace the relay or its parts promptly. This relay is ignition - protected, but always follow safety procedures when installing it on gasoline - powered boats.
