Using your ACR GlobalFix V5 EPIRB is straightforward. In an emergency, you can activate it by taking it out of the bracket and getting it wet, or you can manually activate it either inside or outside the bracket. The ACR Product App will open automatically, and you can see details like battery life, test results, and activation time. As for maintenance, remember to replace the battery every 10 years after the manufacturing date or after activation. Store the EPIRB in a temperature range of - 22°F to +158°F (- 30°C to +70°C). When in use, make sure the temperature is between - 4°F to +131°F (- 20°C to +55°C). It's waterproof up to 33 ft (10 m) for 5 minutes, but try to keep it dry when not in use.
