When not in use, you can slide it to one end of the track or remove one track end for easy cleat removal. Or, fit a short track section where you need it, so you can add or remove the cleat as required, reducing deck clutter and rope snags.

Using this sliding cleat is easy. First, if access under the side deck is an issue, take off a Genoa track end stop. Then, slide the cleat onto the 25mm T - track and lock it where you want it. When you're not using it, you can slide it to the end of the track. If you prefer, you can leave one track end off to make it easier to take the cleat out completely. You can also install a short track piece at the position you need, and put the cleat on or remove it as necessary. As for maintenance, keep it clean. Since the cleat is made of nylon and the base is aluminum, avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the materials. Check the locking mechanism regularly to make sure it's working properly.
